Denny Wayne Robinson has the honor of serving as the County Executive for White County Tennessee, where he is focused on economic development for the community, workforce development, education, solid waste and streamlining county government. He also serves on various boards and committees throughout the area where he represents White County and the Upper Cumberland Region. Denny serves as Chairman of the Tri-County Railroad Authority and Center Hill Rural Planning Organization and is member of the Legislative Committee for the Association of County Mayors. Denny currently sits on the board of directors for: Upper Cumberland Development District, Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency, Upper Cumberland Regional Airport, Chamber of Commerce, White County Anti-Drug Collation, White County Senior Center and Launch TN, a public-private partnership that supports entrepreneurs across Tennessee.
Denny enjoys serving the 27,000 White County residents in all aspects of local government: Infrastructure, Finance, Tourism, Parks and Recreation, Emergency Services, Corrections, and entrepreneurship. Denny was featured in the 2017 Governor’s Conference “Anatomy of the Deal” as well as Highlands Economic Partnership annual meeting for his success with growth in White County’s Economy.
Denny also spent 8 years as a County Commissioner where he served on several boards and committees. Denny completed Highlands Economic Partnership Emerging Leaders, where he developed and implementing a vision of growth and prosperity to ensure the decisions made today positively affected the future generations of White County Residents. He severed several terms as Chairman of the county’s Budget Committee and Chairman of Financial Management Committee. He is a former Chairman of the White County Emergency Communications District.
Denny is a graduate of White County High School, Tennessee Tech University, and completed the Economic Development Course, May 2016, University Of Tennessee. He is also a veteran of the Army and National Guard and was Distinguished Honor Graduate of U.S. Army Field Artillery Survey School. Denny spent twenty plus years managing and operating a successful small business in the auto industry for Ed Rogers’ Chevrolet. Denny is married to the awesome Sheila Robinson and they have two wonderful children Danielle Hall, her husband Damien, and Rhett Robinson. They also have two fabulous grandsons Nolan and Mason.
